ISND aims to educate and raise awareness about neurodegenerative diseases in hopes of inspiring people to join the fight against them. The term, "neurodegenerative disease", is an umbrella term for a range of conditions that affect the health of our nervous systems. Examples of prevalent neurodegenerative diseases include Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Lou Gehrig's, and Huntington’s Disease. In these conditions, neurons become damaged for various reasons, such as protein aggregation, which sets off a cascade of events that causes cell death.
Attend our Annual Meeting to learn about the innovative steps being taken to fight against neurodegeneration by the remarkable minds on the frontline. Â Designed to educate and inform, this unique opportunity is open to anyone who has an interest in learning about neurodegenerative diseases, regardless of prior knowledge or exposure. You will find yourself surrounded by esteemed scientists, medical professionals, and experts who are at the forefront of the field; as well as like-minded and enthusiastic peers.
We look forward to seeing you there!
